Through our STEP HIGHER programs meant to prepare blind and partially sighted high school graduates for higher education, Start Now is equipping a new generation with the tools they need to succeed in college. The six-nine-month College Prep Program provides a first-hand higher-education experience that includes academic skills development, assistive technology and computer literacy, braille, psychological and social adjustment, daily living skills, and orientation and mobility using the white cane to travel independently.

Schedule classes are delivered from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All classes emphasize the development of self-confidence and a positive attitude towards blindness.
